During Mid-term break (5 days no school!)
Nathan and I met up with Ala and Preston who are currently studying abroad in Taiwan.

First dinner- All you can eat hot pot. You basically get a bunch of raw stuff and put it in some boiling broth.
Right outside the largest temple in Taipei- Longshan Temple. Inside it would be disrespectful to take pictures... but once inside, they give you 7 free incense for you to pray to each 7 stations with the Gods.
On our way to the Taipei 101- The current tallest building in the world... which also has the fastest elevator going up in existence....
Busy night at ShinLin market. Nathan and I ended up coming here 3 times. First to try the food... Second to look around... and third to buy things (since I ran out of money the days before.)
The golf ball that it took us 2 hours to walk to... because of stupid deadends... It looked so close from far away..
At a Chinese restaurant that had pictures to point at and accepted credit cards!! (My two years of Chinese was insufficient in reading menus... and Nathan and I ran out of cash). We had some very yummy curry rice noodles, wide noodles, and sugary fried s
Food at the airport from Omuto Tomato restaurant. Delicious.~
Overall, a pretttttyyy good trip. I got to use my Mandarin... which I proved to myself that I can get around sufficiently with the 2 years of Chinese study. I don't think I would ever go there again... but because it was bad, but just because it's really small and I felt the 4 days I was there was enough.
